The car manufacturers started thinking in the internet of things. They have started using sensors, connectivity, and people and process to better serve car users. In this example IoT is used to improve the service process. This is a good start from the manufacturer and customer standpoint.
There is always room for improvement. In my example I found an area where they can improve. The car request generated a new customer account when I have already one. The duplication of customer information is something I am sure they will work to resolve.
This is one of the many real life examples we will be talking about in the future where appliances, machines, certain foods will be communicating with a supplier to provide the service necessary for the specific thing (e.g. refrigerator, manufacturing machine, bottle of milk, etc.)
